Like a lightning bolt in the sky epilepsy strikes with its unpredictable rhythm but amidst the storm—a restless spirit dances in defiance bound in the walls of skin. Every seizure is a complex composition of the unknown which trembles the body or the part of the body.
Epilepsy is a non-communicable neurological disorder that can affect people of all ages. More than 50 million people are suffering from epilepsy all around the world and more than 4 million people are only from the U.S. which is becoming the most common brain disorder. People live a normal life with epilepsy provided they have enough money to sustain their lifestyle. In terms of employment or business people face difficulties. If a person has had epilepsy for a long time or it is uncontrollable.
WHAT EPILEPSY CAUSES TO THE BRAIN
Suppose the bodywork is like a water tap where the on and off button works like a transmitter. Once the tap is on the transmission gives the signal and water flows out. If the tap is in the off position the signal reaches to stop the flow of water. If in case the pipe carrying the water gets leaked or stuck with some kind of impurity may disturb the water flow. The same as our body works. The brain is in command which receives and sends the electrical impulses to all the body parts to work normally. But if the nervous system has some kind of blockage due to clots of thick blood or impurities stops or scatters the signals that disrupt this rhythmic electrical impulse pattern like an unpredictable lightning storm this causes changes in the awareness, muscle moment, sensation and emotions.
TYPES OF EPILEPSY
Two major types can be classified by the seizure patterns. It is based on what side of the brain the seizure starts. The level of seizure, awareness and consciousness and the level of irregularity of muscle moments.
- FOCAL ONSET SEIZURES – They start in one side of the brain or limited cell network. It is also called partial onset seizure for example a person is having seizures during normal life and he is aware of what is happening or what just happened.
SYMPTOMS –
- CHANGE IN SENSES
- CHANGE IN EMOTIONS
- FLASHLIGHTS IN EYES
- DIZZY FEELINGS
- TINGLING SENSATION
- UNCONTROLLABLE MUSCLE MOMENTS ( SPECIALLY IN LEGS AND ARMS )
2. GENRALISED ONSET SEIZURES – They start in the both sides of the brain and the complete cell networks at the same time.
SYMPTOMS –
- BLANK SPACE OR COMPLETE UNCONSIOUSNESS
- LOSS IN MUSCLE MOMENT
- FAST REPETITION OF JERKING AND RELAXING OF BODY MUSCLES.
CURE & TREATMENT
Every disorder or disease related to the brain occurs due to a lack of oxygen in the brain or the other body parts and it all happens because of the blockages in the nerves. In some cases a child suffers from epilepsy because of genes as well.
In medical science, it can be treated but there is no cure for epilepsy. But in ayurveda and yoga claims to have a permanent cure for it. Here are some practicics can give you better results are.
- YOGASANAS – Taadasana, Vipreetkarniasana, Sheershasana, Shavasana, Pavanmuktasana.

FEAR FACTOR: THE WORLD OF PHOBIAS
In the shadows of the mind, where whispers dwell. Phobia rises, unseen tales they tell. Like ghosts in daylight, they dance and sway, Weaving fears where sunlight turns grey.
