The World Health Organization (WHO) has found JN.1 to be a separate “interesting variant”, saying it is quickly spreading everywhere while showing the danger as small all across the world’s health system.

Maharashtra has reported 129 new COVID-19 cases including 10 of the JN.1 variant, which is a type different from usual.
